About the role
We are looking for an Academic Publishing Intern to join our Bristol team for a 12‑week summer placement. Working hybrid, you will gain hands‑on experience in the full lifecycle of scholarly publishing, from manuscript submission to online dissemination.
Key responsibilities
- Support editorial and publishing teams with daily administrative tasks.
- Assist with manuscript tracking, data verification and system updates.
- Prepare content for digital publication and ensure quality and accuracy.
- Liaise with internal teams to streamline publishing workflows.
- Contribute to project work and process improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Based in or near Bristol.
- Enthusiastic about academic publishing, scientific research or science communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Clear communicator who works well collaboratively and independently.
