Accounts and Business Services Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Business Services Manager to lead a diverse client portfolio for a top‑50 professional services firm in London. The role combines technical accounting expertise, people leadership and commercial advisory to drive growth and deliver high‑quality compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring statutory accounts, tax and compliance work are delivered accurately and on time.
• Review statutory accounts and financial reporting for compliance with accounting standards.
• Build trusted relationships, act as a key point of contact and provide commercially‑focused advice.
• Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships and introduce additional services.
• Oversee WIP, billing and commercial performance of the portfolio.
• Lead, coach and mentor team members, delegating workloads and ensuring quality standards.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience at manager level in a professional or business services environment.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills with commercial awareness.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent organisational and delegation abilities.
