Advanced Clinical Practitioner – Primary Care

About the role

Join Minehead Medical Centre as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary primary‑care team. You will help modernise care pathways, ensuring safe and effective treatment for the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compliant clinical care across the practice.
• Make autonomous decisions in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of planned and urgent presentations, including minor illnesses.
• Manage whole episodes of care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
• Provide clinical leadership and support high standards of care within the practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with current NMC/HCPC registration.
• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent Level 7 qualification, including Advanced Physical Assessment and Minor Illness/Injuries modules.
• Certified Independent Prescriber (V300) with primary‑care experience.
• Strong clinical reasoning, decision‑making and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in complex, high‑pressure situations and inspire colleagues.

What we offer

• Salary £50,000‑£55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
• Full‑time and part‑time options (32‑40 hours/week).
• NHS pension with 20.6% employer contribution.
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro‑rated for part‑time).
• Additional leave for work anniversaries, paid indemnity cover and relocation support where applicable.
