AI Education Consultant - Chemistry QTS

About the role

We are seeking a qualified secondary chemistry teacher to help shape national AI‑driven chemistry education standards. This fully remote, flexible contract runs until 30 September 2026 and requires 5‑10 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI tutoring tools for scientific accuracy and pedagogical soundness.
• Create realistic chemistry teaching scenarios covering atomic structure, reactions and the periodic table.
• Develop benchmarking criteria and rubrics to score AI responses.
• Test and score AI‑generated explanations against curriculum standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching secondary science or chemistry in England.
• Specific experience teaching Year 9 chemistry.
• Reliable laptop, internet connection and ability to use web‑based platforms.
• References confirming teaching experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with web‑based platforms and formatting scientific notation/equations.
• Ability to design and assess educational content.
