Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst (Permanent, Birmingham)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst based in Birmingham. You will support a busy consultancy delivering surveying and analytical services across commercial, industrial and public sector sites throughout the Midlands.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys.
• Perform air monitoring, including 4‑stage clearances and re‑occupation certification.
• Conduct bulk sampling and ensure compliance with sampling procedures.
• Produce accurate, compliant reports in line with HSG264 and HSG248 guidance.
• Manage workloads across multiple sites and liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality throughout all activities.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 certifications (essential).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance.
• Professional, organised and reliable with excellent communication skills.
