Assistant Finance Manager – Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

This senior‑level, hands‑on position offers the chance to work within an established international bank’s UK team. You will be based in London with a hybrid schedule (three days in the office) and will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, management accounts, reconciliations and business support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead junior team members while performing daily accounting tasks.
• Assist with management accounts and regulatory financial reporting (Bank of England, head‑office).
• Support month‑end close, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare accruals, pre‑payments, expense analysis and VAT returns.
• Contribute to budgeting, audit processes and regulatory reporting.
• Produce financial data and management information for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience in a regulated environment such as banking or financial services.
• Background in an SME or small team where individuals are hands‑on.
• Proven experience across reporting, month‑end and management accounting.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
