Audit Semi‑Senior

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in the North West and develop your audit career across a varied client portfolio. You will work on full audit cycles, from planning to finalisation, while supporting your professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.
• Perform audit testing across multiple financial statement areas.
• Prepare accurate, well‑documented audit working papers.
• Identify potential audit issues and discuss them with senior colleagues.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners.
• Guide and support more junior team members.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous external audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA.
• Good understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Confident communicator with clients and team members.
• Organised and able to manage competing assignments and deadlines.
