Audit Senior – Qualified ACA/ACCA – London

About the role

McGinnis Loy Associates is partnering with a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial Top40 Accountancy Practice to strengthen its audit function. The practice seeks a qualified or finalist level ACA/ACCA Audit & Accounts Senior for its Central London office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a variety of audit assignments across multiple industry sectors, ensuring high‑quality delivery within agreed budgets.
• Prepare audit files, conduct audit planning and supervise junior staff during fieldwork.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Prepare statutory accounts and finalise accounts under the supervision of the Audit Manager.
• Complete working papers, including bank reconciliations, other reconciliations and manual control accounts.
• Prepare basic tax computations and returns such as corporation tax and VAT.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and contribute to service pricing and new client quotes.

Required profile

• Qualified or finalist level ACA or ACCA accountant.
• Minimum 2 years external audit & accounts experience with small‑ and medium‑sized corporate clients.
• Experience in a Top100 or well‑established regional accountancy firm.
• Proven ability to work in a team, build client relationships and meet strict audit deadlines.
