Automotive Learning Coach – Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship

About the role
The Automotive Learning Coach will guide and mentor apprentices across a range of heavy‑vehicle programmes, ensuring they stay engaged, progress on schedule, and achieve their apprenticeship outcomes. You will act as the primary point of contact for learners, employers, and internal curriculum teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 apprentices, conducting regular progress reviews and coaching sessions.
- Monitor development against apprenticeship standards and maintain accurate learner records.
- Collaborate with employer mentors and managers to drive apprentice progression.
- Identify and implement interventions for learners needing additional support.
- Prepare apprentices for gateway and End‑Point Assessments.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the learner journey.
Required profile
- Significant industry experience in HGV, heavy‑vehicle, commercial‑vehicle engineering, fleet maintenance, manufacturing, or trailer engineering.
- Previous experience in education, training, coaching, or apprenticeship delivery.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employers and learners.
- Full UK driving licence.
