Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist – Hybrid, Immediate Start

About the role

We are partnering with a boutique accountancy practice in Central London to hire an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist on a rolling contract. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office, and offers an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio.
• Process end‑to‑end payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide support.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end processes as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll roles.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero.
• Strong IT skills and overall computer literacy.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
• Full right to work in the UK.
