Business Analyst – Trade Surveillance Uplift (6‑month contract)

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a Business Analyst to support the EMEA Trade Surveillance Uplift project on a six‑month contract. The role will focus on translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions and ensuring the new surveillance capabilities meet compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand current processes, identify change needs and recommend optimal approaches.
• Produce business analysis documentation including target operating models, process models, business requirements and test scripts.
• Track and analyse updates in EMEA regulatory frameworks and work with subject‑matter experts to document practical implications.
• Assess impacts of proposed changes on services, functions and systems, highlighting options and dependencies.
• Support quality‑assurance and testing activities and assist in issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain audit‑ready documentation of change impacts and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education; professional BA qualifications are desirable.
• 5‑10 years of business analysis experience, preferably within financial services.
• Strong understanding of front‑to‑back office processes, banking operations and trade flows.
• Proven experience delivering projects involving regulatory change.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and multitasking abilities.
• Resilience under pressure and ability to work both strategically and in detail.
