Careers and Progression Adviser (Inclusion) – FE College

About the role
This permanent position is based in a Further Education college in Greater Manchester. The Careers and Progression Adviser will deliver high‑quality, inclusive careers information, advice and guidance to learners with diverse support needs, helping them move on to further study, apprenticeships or employment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personalised careers guidance to individual learners and groups, including UCAS support.
- Assist students with progression planning, career development and application processes.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams, support services and external partners to ensure seamless support.
- Monitor learner progression, maintain accurate records and produce reports.
- Organise and promote careers events, workshops and progression opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering careers guidance or learner support.
- Good understanding of SEND, inclusion and supporting learners with additional needs.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship‑building abilities.
- Student‑focused, proactive attitude with a passion for helping learners achieve their goals.
- Relevant Advice and Guidance qualification (IAG).
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary between £29,000 and £32,000 per year.
- Permanent contract within a supportive FE college environment.
