Civil Project Engineer – Tier 1 Infrastructure (London)

About the role

This contract role offers experienced civil engineers the chance to join Tier 1 main contractors on high‑profile infrastructure schemes across London. You will be placed on projects ranging from highways and rail to energy, water and complex utilities, contributing to landmark developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise on‑site engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Plan, forecast and deliver work packages against programme and budget.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, stakeholders and consulting partners.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, programmes and cost control reports.
• Prepare and enforce Health & Safety documentation, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
• Oversee quality assurance, handle NCRs and RFIs, and ensure project documentation is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Valid UK work visa (Tier 5 Youth Mobility, UK Ancestry or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer, preferably within a main‑contractor environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction principles and civil engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and team‑leadership abilities.
