Civils and Services Lead

About the role

The Civils and Services Lead will join LondonEnergy’s Transition Department, overseeing civil engineering and building services projects across waste‑management facilities. You will act as the technical bridge between design, construction and day‑to‑day operations, ensuring safe, compliant and operationally ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent technical review and assurance of civil and building services designs against operational, safety and regulatory standards.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks, challenging design solutions and driving early issue resolution.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical and public‑health (MEP) systems to guarantee maintainability, resilience and efficient long‑term operation.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover activities to ensure assets are fully operational and compliant.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time and to quality standards.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between design, construction and operational teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil engineering and facilities projects within an operational environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and regulatory requirements for waste‑management facilities.
• Ability to work hands‑on in live sites and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
