Civils Site Manager – West Midlands (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civils Site Manager to join a major civil engineering contractor on a long‑term contract across the West Midlands. The role focuses on managing civil works for 11kV and 33kV substation projects, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and adherence to programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise civils teams on site.
• Oversee excavation, ducting and cable installation for high‑voltage substations.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project.
• Coordinate daily site activities and liaise with project managers, engineers and clients.
• Prepare and submit accurate site documentation, progress reports and daily diaries.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Civils Site Manager.
• Background in HV/power distribution or related utilities projects is highly desirable.
• Valid SMSTS certification and NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices and site management.
• Excellent report writing and administrative abilities.
