Claims Lead – US Casualty (Senior Claims Adjuster)

About the role

We are seeking a Claims Lead for US Casualty lines, based in London, to provide senior technical leadership on complex US General Liability claims. The role will oversee high‑value bodily injury, rail, construction and Fortune 1000 casualty exposures, ensuring accurate reserving, payments and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the handling of complex US GL claims, taking ownership of the most high‑exposure cases.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and training to junior adjusters and external partners.
• Oversee delegated reserving, payment and settlement authority, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Develop and maintain best‑in‑class claims processes, documentation and quality‑assurance standards.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product and actuarial teams to deliver claims insight for strategic decisions.
• Monitor claims trends, produce reports and support reserving analyses.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, Lloyd’s schemes and ECF protocols.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in US General Liability claims adjusting, including high‑value bodily injury.
• Proficiency with ECF and Lloyd’s Claims Schemes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead senior‑level claim decisions and manage a team.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
