Clinical Pharmacist – Southend Hospital (Full‑time)

About the role

Spire Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a small, friendly team in Southend. This full‑time position involves delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service across hospital wards, supporting patient care from admission to discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medication advice and support to consultants, nurses and other clinicians.
• Review patients' medication histories, current prescriptions and relevant clinical data.
• Interact with patients on wards to assess pharmaceutical needs, counsel on side effects and arrange discharge medicines.
• Suggest new processes or equipment to improve safety and health outcomes.
• Support the on‑site Prescribing Resident Doctor Dispensary as required.

Required profile

• Pharmacy degree (MPharm) and current GPhC registration.
• Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and multidisciplinary team interaction.
