Community Rehabilitation Service Specialist Dietician

About the role

The Community Rehabilitation and Reablement Service in East Renfrewshire seeks a Specialist Dietician to join a multidisciplinary team delivering home‑based rehabilitation. Working from Eastwood Health and Care Centre, you will assess and manage complex nutritional needs for adults across neurology, orthopaedics, medicine and elderly care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including biochemical data, anthropometric measurements and screening tools.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized dietetic interventions for patients with complex presentations.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech‑language therapists, nurses and social workers.
• Provide autonomous decision‑making on dietetic care pathways and discharge planning.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in dietetics and registration with the Health Professions Council.
• Significant postgraduate experience, preferably at senior level.
• Experience in adult rehabilitation, neurology, orthopaedics, medicine or care of the elderly.
• Current full driving licence.
