About the role
The Construction Office Support Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day administrative and operational functions of a growing construction business in Brentwood, Essex. Working closely with Contracts Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and senior leadership, the role ensures smooth office operations, compliance and effective support for project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily office activities, including travel bookings, meeting coordination and supply ordering.
- Provide administrative assistance to Contracts Managers and maintain records such as order acknowledgements.
- Produce and update O&M manuals, support PQQ submissions and prepare compliance documentation.
- Create and manage RAMS, COSHH files and SSIP accreditations.
- Coordinate weekly returns for main contractors and keep training and compliance records up to date.
- Handle subcontractor onboarding, monitor training certificates and support holiday administration.
- Assist with ad‑hoc HR and accounts tasks as required.
Required profile
- Proven experience in construction office administration or office management.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional attitude.
- Team player who can also work independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
