About the role
The Corporate Controller will lead finance transformation, controllership and governance across a multi‑entity organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines financial reporting, statutory compliance and operational efficiency to support strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP.
- Manage statutory reporting, VAT, PAYE and corporation tax compliance and act as primary liaison for external auditors.
- Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL and fixed assets.
- Develop and maintain robust internal control frameworks and coordinate internal audits.
- Partner with FP&A and operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, business cases and capital expenditure planning.
- Drive process improvement and ERP optimisation initiatives.
Required profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- 7‑10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including leadership roles.
- Proven track record in multi‑entity environments and financial transformation.
Required skills
- UK GAAP
- Statutory reporting and audit management
- ERP systems (e.g., Agresso, Sage)
What we offer
- Permanent contract with a salary of £60,000 per annum.
- Travel to Glasgow 3‑4 times per week (hybrid working model).
