Cover Supervisor – Day-to-Day Supply (Birmingham)

About the role
We are seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Birmingham from September 2026. In this temporary role you will step into classrooms during teacher absences, keeping pupils focused and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes following pre‑planned lesson materials.
- Ensure pupils remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a safe atmosphere.
- Report any issues to the school staff as required.
Required profile
- Experience working with pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Confidence to supervise whole classes and follow lesson plans.
- Enhanced DBS registration on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Professional, adaptable and dependable approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
