Customer Service Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

Join One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, as a Customer Service Assistant in a fast‑paced convenience store. You will be the front‑line representative, ensuring shoppers receive friendly, efficient service while keeping the store tidy and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and encourage feedback through surveys.
• Operate tills, process payments and handle age‑restricted product sales following the Think 25 policy.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory, manage vending and online order fulfilment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment, including aisles and self‑service checkouts.
• Assist with post‑office duties where applicable, subject to background checks.
• Support community and charity events and help create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Cover shift responsibilities in the absence of a Shift Leader or Store Manager.

Required profile

• Passionate about serving customers with pride and professionalism.
• Reliable attendance, accurate clock‑in/out, and adherence to safety and security procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively, follow company values and policies.
• Willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• POS system operation and cash handling.
• Self‑service checkout assistance.
