DevOps Engineer – Cloud Support (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a global enterprise software business and help build a 24x7 follow‑the‑sun support function for cloud‑hosted products. The role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, deep troubleshooting, and direct customer engagement, supporting mission‑critical platforms used by mining sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technical resolution of high‑priority AWS and on‑premise incidents.
• Troubleshoot using logs, metrics, traces and system behaviour rather than surface‑level fixes.
• Navigate AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, networking, storage) at depth.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code and make minor IaC changes directly.
• Collaborate with a 200+ developer team on releases, regressions and product issues.
• Support Windows Server/IIS environments when issues are not AWS‑related.
• Act as the front line for customers, providing clear communication and ownership during incidents.
• Document root causes, create runbooks and share post‑incident learnings.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on experience managing and supporting AWS environments.
• Strong AWS engineering foundation with real‑world troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to write, read and debug PowerShell, Python or Bash scripts.
• Experience with Windows Server/IIS (Linux experience acceptable as a substitute).
• Excellent customer service instincts and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (required for the customer base).
• Comfort working in an agile, globally distributed team.
