Director of Building Services – Birmingham

About the role

Join a well‑established SME multidisciplinary consultancy as the Building Services Director for the Birmingham office. You will own the technical, commercial and operational performance of a growing regional base, shaping its next phase of growth within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical lead on Building Services / MEP projects.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and win new work.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineers within the Birmingham team.
• Manage project delivery, team performance and commercial outcomes.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the regional office.

Required profile

• Background as Associate Director, Technical Director or similar senior role in a Building Services / MEP consultancy.
• Strong technical expertise in MEP design and project delivery.
• Proven experience leading teams and developing engineers.
• Ability to build client relationships and support business development.
• Strong commercial awareness and leadership capability.
• Ambition to lead and grow a regional office within an SME environment.
