Early Career Teacher – Special Needs (Autism) – Manchester

About the role
Join a specialist school in Rochdale supporting pupils aged 11‑19 with autism and complex needs. This full‑time, temporary position allows you to deliver personalised, multi‑sensory lessons and make a real difference in young people’s lives.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons tailored to individual SEND profiles.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to students, families and senior staff.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to the school’s SEND development plans.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding and health‑and‑safety policies.
Required profile
- Passion for teaching outside a mainstream setting and commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
- Kind, caring and compassionate nature with the ability to inspire confidence.
- Recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Experience during ITT or other placements that enhanced understanding of SEND pupils.

- UK teaching qualification.
