Electrical Engineer – Social Housing Repairs (London)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join a leading social housing repairs and maintenance team in London. You will deliver high‑quality electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and compliance work across occupied and void properties, ensuring safe and reliable services for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations, maintenance, testing and inspections in social housing properties.
• Deliver work in line with Building Regulations, NICEIC requirements and Health & Safety legislation.
• Perform electrical testing, fault finding, inspections, surveys and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Diagnose and rectify faults, aiming for first‑time fixes.
• Complete digital work orders, reports and certifications accurately and on time.
• Work safely in both occupied and void properties and support larger projects.
• Mentor junior technicians and participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota.
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, equipment and materials.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent City & Guilds qualifications (including AM2, 2360, 2330, 2365, 2357, 2346, 2391, 2395).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installation, repairs and maintenance.
• Previous experience in social housing, property maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently or as part of a team in London.
