Engineer Surveyor – Lift & Crane (Remote, Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineer Surveyor specialising in lifts and cranes to join Allianz Engineering on a home‑based basis. You will carry out inspections of a wide range of plant and equipment across Ireland, ensuring compliance with legislation and delivering clear reports to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site inspections of lifts, cranes, material handling equipment and construction plant.
• Assess installations against relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare electronic inspection reports and communicate findings to clients promptly.
• Travel within your allocated area, including work at height and in confined spaces.
• Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.

Required profile

• Up‑to‑date knowledge of lift and crane compliance and regulatory rules.
• Ability to plan short‑, medium‑ and long‑term work schedules.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Dublin region and work in varied conditions.

Required skills

• Mechanical Engineering qualification (HND/HNC or equivalent Technological Certificate).
• Hands‑on experience with lifts, cranes, and material handling equipment in manufacturing, repair or maintenance roles.
• Proficiency in using tablets or smartphones for electronic reporting.
