English Teacher – Flexible Supply & Part‑Time Roles

About the role

Mana Education is seeking qualified English teachers to provide flexible supply cover and longer‑term assignments in secondary schools across Peterborough and surrounding areas. You can choose the days, schools and type of contract that suit your lifestyle, from occasional day‑to‑day cover to full‑time placements.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Deliver pre‑planned lessons for day‑to‑day supply assignments.
• Plan, teach and mark work for longer‑term placements, including GCSE preparation.
• Support students preparing for GCSE examinations.
• Create an engaging and positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK‑recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school (ECTs are welcome).
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Professional, reliable and passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.
