Estates Coordinator

About the role

The Estates Coordinator will support the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance services within Great Western Hospital. Working at the heart of hospital operations, you will help ensure that the estate is reliable, compliant and ready to support high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planned, reactive and remedial maintenance activities using the CAFM system.
• Allocate resources to meet contractual priorities and agreed timescales.
• Monitor and track work progress, ensuring accurate completion records and compliance documentation.
• Maintain and update planned maintenance schedules to support statutory compliance programmes.
• Handle enquiries by phone and email, log requests and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Provide financial and administrative support, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and assisting with reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities management or a comparable environment (advantageous but not essential).
• Good understanding of building services and maintenance activities.
• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build trusted relationships across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and, ideally, experience of CAFM systems.
