Finance Manager – Central Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join a fast‑growing, PE‑backed business in central Manchester. The role is full‑time, hybrid (two days in the office), and reports to an experienced ACA‑qualified mentor.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the month‑end close, ensuring timely and accurate P&L analysis and full balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage working capital, cash forecasting and capital investment appraisal.
• Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Build strong relationships with cross‑functional partners to drive process improvements and deliver key business metrics.
• Conduct profitability analysis across business units and prepare management reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to ensure the finance system meets reporting requirements.
• Review, develop and enforce financial policies, procedures and support due‑diligence requests.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in an SME environment handling a broad range of finance responsibilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
