Finance Manager – Legal Entity Controller (France)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to act as the Legal Entity Controller for our French entity. You will work closely with local business stakeholders and the senior finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with both US GAAP and French GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, verify and post transactions, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc journal entries.
• Support the Senior Finance Team as the primary finance contact for France, handling queries and monitoring key financial issues.
• Review month‑end trial balances, control account reconciliations, and income‑statement movements.
• Ensure accounting processes comply with US GAAP and French GAAP.
• Review and file VAT returns, liaising with external advisors as needed.
• Manage preparation and filing of annual statutory financial statements and coordinate statutory audits.
• Project‑manage French corporate restructuring initiatives and other ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 3‑8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience reporting under multiple GAAPs, especially US GAAP and French GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of the French financial reporting landscape.
• Fluency in French and excellent communication skills.
