Finance Manager – Renewable Energy (London)

About the role

A growing renewable energy business is looking for a Finance Manager to join its finance team. The role sits at the centre of the group’s corporate finance function, supporting the holding company and working closely with treasury, development, asset management and wider finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a small team (1 direct, part‑qualified report).
• Own month‑end financial accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare and review bank, intercompany and investment account reconciliations.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting and related reporting.
• Account for treasury transactions and support cash‑management activities.
• Provide multi‑currency accounting and consolidation support.
• Analyse corporate overheads and operating expenditure, delivering insight to internal stakeholders.
• Support reporting for development entities and SPVs throughout project phases.
• Report on CAPEX and P&L performance across multiple entities.
• Prepare management and financial information for internal use.
• Assist with year‑end audit and tax compliance processes.
• Contribute to group reporting initiatives and manage intercompany accounting.
• Handle large volumes of financial data to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years post‑qualified experience as a Financial Accountant, Finance Manager or similar.
• Strong financial accounting and reconciliation background.
• Experience in an asset‑based industry such as renewable energy, infrastructure, construction or utilities.
• Good understanding of fixed assets, treasury transactions and multi‑currency accounting.
