Finance Operations Accountant

About the role

This newly created Finance Operations Accountant position sits within a fast‑growing international live‑entertainment business. Working hybrid in London, you will partner closely with the Finance Operations Manager to build a high‑performing head‑office finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day financial accounting for three head‑office entities, ensuring accurate transaction recording and full balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end purchase‑to‑pay process, including purchase orders, supplier master data and invoice processing.
• Oversee the sales ledger, raise invoices accurately and chase outstanding debts.
• Support Treasury by maintaining the head‑office loan register, handling schedules, interest, repayments and related entries.
• Review and approve employee expenses in line with group policies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash reports and reconcile cash balances.
• Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations across the wider group.
• Prepare and submit Group VAT returns, reviewing treatment and improving processes.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and reconciliations.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls and automation.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Approximately 1‑2 years of experience in a comparable finance role.
• Comfortable working across a broad finance remit and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
