Financial Controller – Hotels – Central London (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for multiple hotel entities within a global hotel group. Based in Central London, the role offers a hybrid working model and a competitive salary of £60‑65k plus bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily finance operations for several hotel entities, covering accounting, taxes and financial reporting.
• Prepare month‑end financial statements in collaboration with the management accounts team, providing insightful commentary.
• Execute monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations within tight deadlines.
• Partner with HR to process payroll, manage taxes, pensions and related reporting each month.
• Handle VAT filings and payments in line with local statutory timelines.
• Support FP&A with annual budgeting and periodic re‑forecasting.
• Work with the Construction team to maintain an accurate fixed‑asset register for hotels under development.
• Assist Operations and hotel managers with day‑to‑day financial requirements.
• Liaise with external accountants to deliver year‑end accounts and tax returns on schedule.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or QBE qualification.
• Proven experience in a similar financial controller role, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, compliance, VAT and payroll processes.
• International exposure is a plus.
