About the role
We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller for a fast‑growing commercial property business based near Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire. Working closely with the founder and CFO, you will build the finance function from the ground up and support the company’s ambitious expansion plans.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, commentary and present findings to the senior leadership team.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow models.
- Manage cash flow and oversee statutory reporting.
- Process invoices initially, expanding the function as the team grows.
- Build and lead a finance team from inception.
- Handle basic payroll duties.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Proactive, hands‑on problem‑solver with strong communication skills.
- Proven experience leading day‑to‑day finance functions in a fast‑paced, growing business.
- Demonstrated ability to create and develop a finance team from scratch.
