Financial Controller

About the role

Flock is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to own core accounting and financial control processes while driving improvements across the finance function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will shape financial operations as the company scales its connected‑vehicle insurance business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team handling accounts payable, credit control, accounts receivable, reconciliations and ledger management.
• Ensure accurate, timely month‑end closes and deliver high‑quality financial data for decision‑making.
• Produce monthly management accounts, statutory reports and partner with FP&A for insightful analysis.
• Manage FCA reporting, regulatory obligations and own the audit process with external auditors.
• Review, challenge and improve finance processes to make them scalable, efficient and resilient.
• Collaborate with underwriting, customer operations and broker distribution teams to align finance processes with business needs.

Required profile

• Ambitious, high‑achieving professional with a hands‑on approach to finance.
• Proven experience leading and developing a small finance team.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to deliver reliable financial information.
• Comfortable working closely with senior leadership, including the VP of Finance and CFO.
