Financial Reporting Accountant – Digital Media

About the role

Our client, a leading digital‑first media organisation, is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join its finance team in Manchester. The role will support group financial reporting, technical accounting and audit processes as the business continues its rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit preparation and query resolution.
• Deliver month‑end and year‑end reporting packs for senior leadership, the Board and the CFO.
• Prepare technical accounting papers, accounting models and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of group accounts, statutory filings and internal finance reporting.
• Handle payroll accounting, leasing accounting and Employee Benefit Trust reporting.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to enhance reporting controls and coordinate peak‑period workstreams.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (finalists considered).
• Strong audit background.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and auditors.
