Freelance Interpreters and Translators Needed in Goole

About the role

Language Empire is seeking freelance interpreters and translators based in Goole to support a range of public and private organisations, including the NHS, local authorities, police and probation services. This self‑employed role offers flexible hours and the ability to work from home while delivering high‑quality language services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face, telephone and video interpreting for legal, health and local government services.
• Check non‑English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
• Deliver conference, consecutive and public‑service interpreting.
• Handle highly confidential information with discretion.
• Liaise between service users and providers to ensure clear communication.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and at least one other language.
• Right to work in the UK and aged 21 or over.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.
