Frontend Developer – Accessibility Lead

About the role

Synthesia is looking for a senior Frontend Developer to own and drive its accessibility roadmap. You will shape how accessibility is embedded across multiple product teams, leveraging AI‑assisted tools and close collaboration with design, legal and external audit partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct baseline accessibility audits and define remediation priorities.
• Integrate accessibility checks into the design system and CI pipelines.
• Lead user testing with assistive technologies and translate findings into product decisions.
• Design and manage AI‑driven tools to scale audits while maintaining human oversight.
• Collaborate with Design Systems, Product, Design, Legal and external auditors to embed accessibility in standard workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Proven track record of leading accessibility initiatives for large‑scale web applications with measurable outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Experience building or contributing to accessibility programs or teams.
