Graduate Trade Operator – London

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Trade Operator to join our fast‑moving metals and minerals trading team in London. This hands‑on position offers end‑to‑end exposure to physical commodity flows across Europe, covering contracts, logistics, documentation, payments and settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and administer sales and purchase contracts for bulk commodities.
• Arrange road, rail, barge and sea freight logistics and coordinate with carriers.
• Manage Bills of Lading, customs clearance and all trade documentation.
• Handle invoicing, foreign‑exchange receivables and payment processing.
• Coordinate assay exchanges and provisional pricing settlements.
• Work with SAP to drive automation of administrative processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a physical trading environment (or a strong academic background in related fields).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exposure to bulk commodities such as concentrates, iron ore or metallurgical coke is a plus.
