Head of External Communications (6‑12 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Head of External Communications to lead the launch of our newly merged brand. Working closely with the Director of Global Communications, you will shape the PR strategy, position the organisation and raise the profile of senior executives during a dynamic period of change.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic external PR plan to support brand launch and positioning.
• Manage an external PR agency, ensuring delivery against objectives and budget.
• Provide senior executives with strategic counsel on reputation, messaging and media engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier media outlets.
• Identify story angles and opportunities to elevate the brand.
• Lead crisis communications and issues management.

Required profile

• 6‑12 month availability, with a track record in senior communications or PR roles.
• Proven experience launching brands and managing executive visibility.
• Strong ability to work in a fast‑paced, creative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
