Head of Finance & Commercial Operations

About the role

We are a fast‑growing technology scale‑up seeking a commercially‑minded Head of Finance & Commercial Operations to join the leadership team. Reporting directly to the founders, you will own the finance function while driving commercial analysis, operational improvements and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end process and produce management accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management activities.
• Deliver insightful commercial and financial reporting to founders and senior leadership.
• Analyse sales performance, revenue trends and operational KPIs.
• Partner with data and revenue‑operations teams to improve business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
• Oversee payroll processes and supplier management activities.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash management and foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Drive operational improvements and establish scalable processes and controls.
• Support strategic growth projects across the business.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the wider organisation.

Required profile

• ACA‑qualified finance professional with experience in a high‑growth, technology‑focused environment.
• Proven track record of leading finance functions and delivering commercial insight.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and treasury management.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and drive operational scaling.
