Head of People – Lead HR Strategy for PE‑backed Consumer SME

About the role

We are seeking a Head of People to shape the people strategy of a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed consumer business in London. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will influence organisational design, talent development and workplace experience as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to define and execute a people strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Lead, develop and inspire the existing People team, fostering a high‑performing, trusted function.
• Oversee the Workplace team to ensure an engaging, inclusive and well‑run office environment.
• Drive leadership capability through coaching, succession planning and development programmes.
• Design organisational structures, processes and policies that support a larger, more complex business.
• Own talent attraction, development and retention initiatives to build a pipeline of exceptional people.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in a scaling consumer or PE‑backed environment.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on operational execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence C‑level executives.
• Track record of building high‑performing HR teams and workplace cultures.
