Host – Luxury Hotel Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Host to join the team at The Promenade, the flagship restaurant of The Dorchester Hotel. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience in a celebrated, award‑winning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage reservations and table allocations for each shift.
• Greet guests, escort them to their allocated tables, and bid them farewell on departure.
• Handle special requests, including dietary requirements, drink preferences and celebrations.
• Communicate with other hotel departments to maintain alignment and service standards.
• Work shift‑based hours covering breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

Required profile

• Welcoming personality with a genuine enjoyment of greeting people.
• Strong communication skills, both speaking and listening.
• Excellent attention to detail and basic organisational abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.

• Proficiency in using reservation systems to track bookings and seat guests efficiently.
