Human Resources Generalist – Hybrid, West London

About the role

Our client is an international health‑related charity based in West London, seeking a confident and hands‑on HR Generalist. You will work closely with the Senior HR Manager to deliver day‑to‑day HR services, ensuring employees and managers receive timely, accurate, and professional support across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end recruitment, from drafting adverts to onboarding new starters.
• Manage HR administration, maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Provide first‑line employee relations support, including absence management and policy queries.
• Assist with monthly payroll processes, handling starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
• Help develop and update HR policies, procedures and guidance documents.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and systems.
• Produce HR reports and supply data to support decision‑making.

Profile

• Previous experience in an HR Generalist, HR Officer or similar operational HR role.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Confident communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
• Interest in working within a mission‑led or not‑for‑profit organisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using HR systems.
