About the role
A full‑time Key Stage 2 Teacher is needed for a welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenham starting September 2026. The role runs for one academic year with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Create a positive classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve.
- Adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively.
- Establish strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Promote positive behaviour and a love of learning.
- Contribute to wider school activities and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and best practice.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Confident classroom management skills.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- Keen to develop professionally and take on additional responsibilities.
