Learner and Employer Engagement Officer

About the role

Join a growing training and employability team as a Learner & Employer Engagement Officer. You will guide learners through the full journey from enquiry to employment while building strong partnerships with employers to create job, placement and apprenticeship opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and convert learner leads through referral partners and employer networks.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers to source vacancies, apprenticeships and work placements.
• Manage the end‑to‑end learner journey, including onboarding, screening and suitability assessments.
• Provide information, advice and guidance to learners throughout their programme.
• Support learners into sustainable employment, apprenticeships or further education.
• Develop relationships with referral partners, stakeholders and external organisations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and produce weekly performance reports.
• Attend external venues such as Jobcentre Plus, community hubs and partner locations.
• Achieve and exceed KPIs related to enrolments, interviews and employment outcomes.
• Ensure safeguarding and compliance requirements are met throughout the learner journey.

Required profile

• Experience in recruitment, employability, learner engagement, sales or a similar customer‑focused role.
• Proven track record of achieving targets in a KPI‑driven environment.
• Confidence engaging with employers, partners and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Knowledge of funded training programmes, adult education or employability services is desirable.
