About the role
University College Birmingham is seeking up to five part‑time Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to support its Transnational Education programmes. The role focuses on planning, delivering and assessing contextualised academic English provision for international students studying on UCB‑validated programmes overseas.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess contextualised academic English courses for international students on UCB‑validated programmes overseas.
- Develop and maintain learning materials that support academic language and study‑skill development.
- Provide feedback, marking and assessment in line with university standards.
- Collaborate with partner institutions and internal teams to ensure consistency of provision.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching English for Academic Purposes at higher‑education level.
- Experience supporting international students, preferably in online or transnational settings.
- DELTA or equivalent Level 7 teaching qualification.
- Strong communication, organisational and student‑centred approach.
Required skills
- Digital literacy and confidence using online learning technologies.
