Legal Apprentice – Estate Planning

About the role

Join DJH’s Estate Planning team as a Legal Apprentice and start your legal career with hands‑on experience. You’ll work alongside solicitors and tax advisors, gaining real‑world insight into wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney while supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support such as opening files, preparing documents and maintaining records.
• Assist in drafting basic legal documents (Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney) under supervision.
• Organise client meetings, prepare paperwork and ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct research and perform general tasks to support fee earners.
• Communicate professionally with clients to deliver a positive experience.

Required profile

• Recent college leaver (A‑levels or equivalent) with an interest in law.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using IT systems and eager to develop technical abilities.
• Enjoys building relationships and has good communication skills.
• Motivated to grow in a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office IT tools.
