Local Finance & Accounting Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Local Finance & Accounting Accountant to join our Oxfordshire office on a hybrid basis. The role will support PSI’s UK operations by managing end‑to‑end accounting processes and ensuring compliance with local GAAP and group reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions, including vendor invoices, payments, bank entries, journal postings and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and payroll‑related postings.
• Lead monthly and quarterly closing activities, prepare reconciliations and period‑end adjustments.
• Prepare and submit quarterly group financial reports, trial balances and variance analyses to headquarters.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, statistical filings and other regulatory declarations; ensure compliance with corporate and withholding tax requirements.
• Independently prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate year‑end audit processes.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and provide financial analysis to support local management and HQ decisions.
• Maintain documented accounting procedures, internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of solid accounting experience.
